Local authorities are outraged after a four-year-old child finds a loaded weapon in the street and accidentally discharges it.

23-year old Francisco R. Rivera, and 20-year old Justin T Rodriguez, were arrested on alleged weapons charges.

Albany Police Department are investigating several weekend shootings, the shooting happened on Friday night with three separate instances with 5 people being shot over the weekend.

This afternoon the city police chief and Albany Mayor held a press conference to announce the arrest of Albany Police Officer over violnece at a call.

With an uptick of violence in Albany recently, the governor announced additional funds that would help various programs throughout the city. The goal is to curb violence in return.

The Times Union wrote a story about 26 year old Elijah Thomas who was shot Sunday afternoon near a West Hill playground. He was shot in the neck and both arms around 1pm outside Swinburne Park. This is the 4th shooting in 8 days around the Albany area. Local organizations like “SNUG” are doing their best to stop violent acts like these.
