Yesterday hundreds took to Saratoga State Park for Diabetes Awareness.

Yesterday, cyclists to over Saratoga for the 2017 Saratoga Tour de Cure! Tour de Cure in a huge even in the Capital Region that raises awareness for diabetes.

Tour de Cure took place at the Saratoga State Park. There were roughly 1500 “Red Riders” there on Monday. The “red Riders” were all the cyclists who have been diagnosed with wither Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes. Families were there to cheer on the sons, daughters, father, mothers, husbands, wives etc. Among them was Randy Lewis and Sydnie Lewis, and father and daughter who are both diagnosed with Diabetes and look forward to participating in the Tour de Cure every year.

“There so much people around you whether have it of they know someone of they just know of the disease. You have a huge support group no matter where you go,” said Sydnie Lewis (News 10).

All proceeds made from the Tour de Cure will go towards the mission of the American Diabetes Association, to support research that will one day prevent and/or cure diabetes.
