Funeral Announcements Made For Kobe Bryant

Funeral arrangements for Kobe Bryant, and his daughter Gianna have been made and were announced today via his wife Vanessa Bryant’s Instagram page. The Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on a significant date, 02-24-20.

These numbers are extremely important for the Bryant family. 02 because that was Gianna’s jersey number, 24 because that was Kobe’s jersey number, and 20 because that is how many years Kobe played for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The service will be held at the Staples center in downtown Los Angeles where Kobe spent his entire career. The venue holds over 20,000 people and building administration is expecting numbers to exceed that.

LAPD and Staples Arena security will be on hand for crowd control. Many of Kobe’s family members, teammate’s friends are expected to attend as well as other celebrities and fans. The last two funerals held at the Staples center were that of Pop music icon Michael Jackson in 2009 and slain LA rapper Nipsey Hussle in 2019. Rest in Power Kobe and GiGi Bryant.
