Toxic Superstar, Britney Spears checked herself into a mental facility, according to Rolling Stone. Britney has been distraught over her father's illness, Jamie Spears has been diagnosed with a ruptured colon sometime last year. By definition by Healthlife.com, toxic megacolon occurs when inflammatory bowel diseases cause the colon to expand, dilate, and distend. When this happens, the colon is unable to remove gas or feces from the body. If gas and feces build up in the colon, your large intestine may eventually rupture. Rupture of your colon is life-threatening.

According to TMZ, earlier in 2019 Spears cancelled her Las Vegas residency due to her father almost dying for complications of his intestines and colon from an emergency surgery and a 20 day Hospital stay. Sources tells People, between dealing with her father's health problems, balancing her career and personal life, Britney has been mentally suffering. There's nothing wrong with her - she just realized she needs help and time to care for herself. TMZ added Spears check herself into the unknown facility about a week ago and is suspected to be there for 30 days. Before checking herself in Britney took to her Instagram with a post quoting "FALL IN LOVE WITH TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF, MIND, BODY, SPIRIT, Commenting; we all need to take time for a little 'me time.' :) We would pray for the Spears family.
