The Hamilton Hill Arts Center invites the community to Culturefest, our new summer event series. Bring your friends and family to enjoy vendors, fun activities and some of the best live bands from the capital region!  Each day of the event runs from 1pm - 9pm.  The live music will start at 6pm.  Admission is FREE.

Sat., July 20: Gballoi (The Prophet Band)

Gballoi is a traveling ensemble from Ghana with three decades of experience in the field of West African music and dance. Hailing from Accra, a city on the coast of Ghana known worldwide for its rich, intricate, and notoriously difficult musical traditions, Gballoi's mission is to promote Ghanaian culture in the United States and across the world. Gballois four core members perform on bells, hand drums, shakers and flutes.

Sat. August 17: Robanic

Robanic is a four-member ensemble that plays a wide and colorful range of Caribbean music including old-school reggae, traditional rock-steady, ska, calypso, contemporary lovers rock, as well as the hottest new dance-hall sound from Jamaica.

Sat., Sept 14: Taina Asili Trio

Taina Asili will perform in 3-piece ensemble with performing Afro-Latin, reggae and rock. “… a pan-global roots-musical mélange that appeals to the struggle of tradition to envision a world of social justice.” – Josh Potter, Assistant Editor for The Metroland.
