Are You A Young Person Interested In Human Rights?

I once was told by my late great grandmother "Always know more than you speak of" knowledge is power and major key to getting ahead in life. Growing up as a kid you dont relize the importanace of learning life and history. We dont question what we are taught in school we just assume the teachers are right and the books are facts. BUt as I gotten older I realized you should question everything and if you have the chance to speak to someone with knowledge on that time frame do so you might get a whole new aspect of what occured and you may learn something knew. The Block Center will be holding a social meeting group every Wednesday at the Troy Boys and Girls club from 6-7:30pm. If you are a young person who is interested in human rights then this meeting is for you. It is Black History month so what better time to learn about human rights than right now.
