Two NY Casinos Land on Top Ten List for the U.S.

Two casinos in New York have made a list of the Top Ten casinos in the U.S. outside of Las Vegas.

I guess Las Vegas was excluded since that’s a beast of its own.  However, there are a ton of casinos outside of Vegas, and recently a vote was done to pick the top ten nationally.  I read about this at newyorkupstate.com, but the poll and vote were actually done by USA Today and 10best.com according to the post.

Landing at number 7 on the list was Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, NY.  Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona made the number 9 spot.  Both are fairly big casinos, each with over 1,000 slot machines and both over 100,000 square feet. Also from the East Coast, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods landed in the top ten, as well as Encore Boston Harbor Resort.  As for my thoughts?  Well, I stay local at our own casinos here in the Capital Region.  Unless it’s for a concert of course, or a fun trip to Atlantic City or Vegas.
