Local Spider-Man Spreading Happiness Around The Capital Region
We can all be kind, spread joy, and be a positive influence on] others. One man from Schenectady, New York believes that we can do all of that and more.
Twenty-year-old Ben Bohl has been seen all over Albany, Troy, and Schenectady making people smile while dressed in a Spider-Man costume. Bohl says that he started out dressing up for birthday parties and people really loved it. It grew into a kind of lifestyle for him as he strives to make others happy.
Bohl’s Spider-Man adventures grew and now he can be seen on top of buildings, in parks, on benches as well as railways. He’s all over the place trying to make people happy. Although Bohl does not have Spider-man powers, he believes that everyone possesses the superpower of kindness. Bohl says that everyone has the ability to make others happy if we only try.
Bohl says “I’d love to have superpowers, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t so I have to work with what I have.“ When he’s out and about throughout the Capital Region he always tries to be positive and he tries to do the right thing. He hopes that behind the mask, his actions will encourage other people to spread positivity throughout their days.
We all know that there’s a lot of negativity in the world right now. People are stressed out over racial issues, a poor economy problem, homelessness, poverty, and we can’t forget about COVID-19. With all of the bad things in the world, all of the sadness, it's good to see something silly and funny out there, just to brighten someone’s day. I love to see people doing genuinely kind acts, keep up your good work Spider-Man, we can all use a smile.
