DJ Wiz Hoffa Discusses 518 DJ History and His New Single I.D.K.Y.

One of my favorite producers in the Capital Region returns with another banger. DJ Wiz Hoffa is 518 legend in his own right, the noise mob founder/producer just released a new single featuring Capital Region favorites, Tiff Hollyhood US Bay and Ceaz Sharp titled I.D.K.Y.

Damien Kissee aka Wizzy Hoffa entered the world and it took some time for this young man to transition into the man he is today, but the man he has become is amazing. The Brooklyn born Wiz Hoffa started rhyming at the age of 9 and at the age of 12 he grew an interest in DJ’ing, then at the prime age of 15, he enjoyed production work.

Wiz Hoffa is also a celebrated mixtape DJ during the golden era of mixtapes he received a JUSTO mixtape award. When the list of accomplishments piles up Wiz Hoffa has consistently, kept it humble, and often reaches back to help the newer artists with crafting a sound. Wiz also consults new artists on how to maneuver through the tricky music industry. I got a chance to chop it up with Wiz Hoffa at the Capital Mixers studio as he mixed and mastered his new single I.D.K.Y.

We got a chance to sit down and discuss Capital Region DJ history, how the area has influenced his mindset and sound over the years. Also, Wizzy discussed how he picks which artist he works with.
