An Albany man named Johnny Crosby was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal sexual act, a felony, after being accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. Crosby was found and arrested today by US Marshals after several local agencies failed in finding him.

According to Utica OD:

An investigation through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center found that Johnny Crosby had sexual contact with the girl in March 2019 in Boonville, where Crosby lived at the time, deputies said. A warrant was issued for first-degree criminal sexual act, a felony, following several attempts to locate him.

Crosby was arrested by the United States Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, so that means his accusations were pretty serious if the federal government got involved.

Crosby will have his day in court and he was arraigned later that day and sent to Oneida County jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

There is also an order of protection so that Crosby has to stay away from the child that has accused him of sexual abuse.
