What is G.O.O.D. Music’s ‘Mercy’ About?

“Mercy” is the name of the smash hit from Kanye and his G.O.O.D. Music crew. The hook of the song is “Lamborghini Mercy, your chick she so thirsty / I’m in that two seat Lambo with your girl she tryna jerk me”. But, what is the song really about?

The true definition of “mercy” is:

“Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm / An event to be grateful for, especially because it’s occurrence prevents something unpleasant or provides relief from suffering”.

The use of “mercy” in the song isn’t in reference to either of these definitions. It’s actually a reference to a particular model of Lamborghini – the Murcielago.
