Detroit might be going bankrupt, but one of the city’s favorite sons is doing just fine. Big Sean is preparing to release his second studio album, Hall of Fame, in a few weeks, and although there’s some instability in his G.O.O.D Music stable, he says everyone who’s ever been a part of the clique is still part of the family.

“Kid Cudi did his verse to the song after he left G.O.O.D. Music. And at the end of it he say ‘G.O.O.D. Music forever, n---a.’ And he was like, ‘What? You know what it is.’ Basically, we a fam, you know what I’m sayin, and sometimes business sh—doesn’t work out and things get tangled up, but through it all, we all brothers and we all just trying to push culture forward and make Rap better and quality.”

The verse he’s referring to is an appearance on “First Chain” which is scheduled to appear on the new album. Another big name that recently cut ties with Kanye’s group is Hit-Boy who announced he left the label in June. Other artists expected to be featured are Lil Wayne, Jhene Aiko, Nicki Minaj, Juicy J and Miguel.
