Here we are in another school year having to repeat the same message to drivers on the road. STOP FOR SCHOOL BUSES!

Video surfaced in the The Brunswick-Brittonkill School District of a tractor trailer passing a school bus, and now state police are launching an investigation and search. It’s taught in drivers ed to stop for school buses, so I’m not understanding why so many folks out here on the road refuse to do so.

It doesn’t matter if you are in the boonies, old country road or on a major 4 lane highway – STOP FOR THE BUS! The woman who took that video says every single day someone passes the school bus that's either picking up her daughter in the morning, or dropping her off in the afternoon.

I can’t imagine the horror of seeing someone drive right past a school bus when your child is getting on or off. Parents are hoping these violators will now be punished to the full extent of the law with the video evidence.
Has this happened in your school district? Why are so many people not stopping for school buses?
