The Digable Planets Are REUNITED

Ladybug Mecca, Butterfly and Doodlebug are coming back together again. These 3 talented individuals dropped a # 4 hit song called "Nickel Bags (of funk)" in 1993. My next favorite song that they released was called "Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)". That record was a #1 hit song. What most fans do not know is the Digable Planets have been on and off for decades. The first break up happened in 1995, then 2005 and 2011.

Well once again, they are trying to work it out again. Ladybug Mecca says "the show will go down with potential for more." They have confirmed that they will be doing a four year show. First stop is in Seattle at The Neptune Theater in 2016. The next show after that will be on New Year's Eve. The Shabazz Palaces will also be performing as well.

I am SUPER excited that they are making a comeback because I grew up on this group as a kid. Like I said my favorite song is Rebirth of Slick(Cool Like Dat). This time I have high hopes that they can come together and put their creative differences aside or mesh them together to make an outstanding impression for the fans and the ones who doubted them.
