The Capital Region got it’s the first round of winter storms yesterday at 2pm. Now today we are being hit with another round which will add an additional 3-6 inches in some places which will give some folks over 2 feet of snow.

Almost every school district is closed, making announcements as early as Sunday afternoon. If you don’t have to be on the roads today, stay home! A foot or more has fallen across much of the region and what most people don’t realize is that this storm is not ending anytime soon.

In my neighborhood, the kids are loving their snow day and they are out and about first thing this morning playing in the piles of piles of snow. It’s too cold for me to venture out there, but it’s a beautiful sight to see it fall. Message to all, don’t drive if you don’t have to. The snowstorm is supposed to end Monday night, stay warm and safe folks!
