After a decade on Def Jam, Rick Ross is taking his talents as a rapping global sex icon to Epic Records.

The news of the singing has been reported by numerous media outlets and confirmed by the label as well. The new alignment first made its way to the Internet via an Instagram post from JD, Epic Records' Senior Digital Marketing Director. The post contains a photo of Ross along with label chairman and CEO L.A. Reid and president Sylvia Rhone at what appears to be Epic headquarters. The caption reads, "#LaReid #SylviaRhone #RickRoss gonna be Epic in 2016!!!"

In another video post with shaky audio, Rozay poses for a picture with JD who captioned the clip, "@Richforever is home now on #Epic! Let's go!!!!"

The MMG boss later posted a photo while rocking all Epic Records gear along with the caption, "Lit."

Rick Ross started his rap career in the early 2000s and was first signed to then powerhouse Southern label Suave House. He later inked a deal with the Miami indie imprint Slip-N-Slide Records home of Trick Daddy and Trina.

In 2006, he signed a major label deal with Def Jam with the help of Reid and Jay Z who were execs at the label at the time, and released his debut Port of Miami the same year. He went on to put out eight albums on the label including his most recent LP, Black Market last month.
