Red-tailed Hawk Stuck In NY State Picnic Table! How Does This Happen?
What does an animal do when it finds itself in danger? Typically they can handle themselves but every once in a while animals need human help.
Take a look at the video below and ask yourself, what would have happened to this Red-tailed Hawk if a New York Department of Environmental Conservation officer wasn't there to try to save it?
According to this NYS DEC Twitter post, officers responded to a call regarding a bird in distress. Somehow a Red-tailed Hawk found himself stuck in a picnic table at Lakeside Park in Carlton, NY.
How this poor guy ended up in this predicament we may never know. How will he get free is what needs to be answered first. NYS DEC Officer Fonda to the rescue. First take a look at the scene when Officer Fonda arrived.
Maybe this hawk was trying to have his own picnic when he got stuck. Maybe his hawk friends pulled a prank on him and then flew off. Whatever lead up to the moment he got stuck in the table will be left to the imagination. Look at this picture and you can see it's feet caught between pieces of wood on the table top.
