Nicki Minaj is pushing back claims that she uses her sex appeal to boost album sales. Despite flaunting her bodacious frame in her videos like ‘Starships‘ and ‘Beez in the Trap,’ the rapstress insists that her platform is not all about sex.

Minaj tells Showbiz Spy (via Entertainwise) that she’s is an artist and not an irresponsible role model. “That’s not what I’m about at all,” she says. “I’m no different to any other girl out there in that way. I’m all about rapping, writing and acting — nothing else.”

Last year, Minaj inspired millions of young girls around the world with her infectious song, ‘Super Bass.’ Especially, superstar tykes Sophia Grace and Rosie.

The little princesses were thrilled to reunite with their queen on the ‘Ellen Degeneres Show’ the other day. During her appearance, Minaj did give the girls some good advice. “Sophia and Rosie, don’t ever let anyone talk you out of wearing pink!” she said. “Pink is your color. Pink is going to keep you happy for the rest of your life. Pink is going to give you power, energy and the girliness that you need.”

She then added, “You wear your crown and you’re a queen.”

Now that’s sounds like some good advice to us.
