More Legal Troubles For Bumpy's Polar Freeze Owner

Once again the owner of Bumpy’s Polar Freeze is making news, and not in a good way. Apparently, David Elmendorf did not appreciate being served court papers, so he took it out on the private investigator who was serving the papers to him.

As you may remember, during the summer months David Elmendorf was involved in a controversy over allegedly sending racist text messages. After the news of the racist text messages became public, members of the community protested Bumpy’s Polar Freeze.

Community members were demanding a boycott of Bumpy’s, and were also asking that the establishment be permanently closed. They considered the owner of the establishment racist against the black community. Mr. Elmendorf denied the allegations, and the protest eventually ended.

Bumpy’s also had difficulty with Schenectady County during the summer. Schenectady County was seeking an order to close the establishment for not adhering to COVID-19 protocol. The county accused the establishment of not complying with COVID-19 regulations.

According to the Daily Gazette, Mr. Elmendorf was arrested for assaulting a private investigator with a pen. Mr. Ronald Hilton, the owner of Hilton Investigations LLC, says that he was serving legal documents to Mr. Elmendorf when Mr. Elmendorf stabbed him in the back of the neck with a ballpoint pen. It has been reported that Mr. Hilton sustained an injury that pierced the skin down to the bone.

Mr. Hilton said “He had a hold of me and I had to pin him up against the wall because he was pinching me and beating on me. I eventually had to grab a hold of his scrotum and squeeze it as hard as I could so he would let go of me.“ Mr. Elmendorf added assault to his growing list of legal issues. He was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, which is a class D felony.

It seems like at this time this man is just being a public menace. What will happen next in the Bumpy's Reality show? I wonder how much longer he will be able to keep up these antics. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s next for David Elmendorf.
