Man Caught Stealing Car Blames The Coronavirus

After a hiatus, I’m opening the Big Dummy Files back up. It's way too much random stupidity right now to not have the Big Dummy Files open.

Let’s kick it off with the year’s first Big Dummy. His name is Alvin Rementer and he lives in Florida. According to NY Daily News, he pawned his 2000 Chevy Silverado in January, he had to move around so he stole it back on Saturday morning.

When the police stopped him after the pawnshops reported it stolen he said he stole it because he was "freaked out over the corona."

He was arrested for felony grand theft auto. Expect we'll hear a LOT more people blaming crimes on the coronavirus soon. Alvin Rementer is 70 years old. I’m sure this is not the first time he has been in trouble with law enforcement.
