The Albany Police Department has announced that they are recruiting for the position of Police Officer.  A written examination for candidates to become polices
will be held on May 15, but the last day to file for employment is Monday, April 12, no later than 11:59 p.m.

A career as a police officer can be exciting, challenging, and financially lucrative.  Working for the city has a lot of benefits and the starting salary is $46,030 and it jumps up to $53,354 once you graduate from the Academy.

Candidates must be at least 19 years old before the test date, they must live in Albany City and the must have a high school diploma.

We can’t all serve others in a law enforcement capacity, but this is a great opportunity to serve and empower our community.  Become a change agent and alter the stigma that plagues the Black community.
