Rappers, get ready to tuck your whole summer in. Kanye West has penciled in Aug. 7 for the release of his G.O.O.D. Music compilation ‘Cruel Summer,’ according to Rolling Stone. Pusha T revealed the release date during an interview with Hot 97 personality Funkmaster Flex.

The album shares the same title as West’s short film, which he premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month. Labelmates Big Sean, CyHi da Prynce, Kid Cudi, Pusha T and Teyana Taylor are set to appear on the collection, as well guest appearances by Frank Ocean, Marsha Ambrosius and others. The group’s stylish black-and-white video for ‘Mercy,’ featuring 2 Chainz, has already garnered over 4 million views on YouTube so far.

Meanwhile, the G.O.O.D. Music family will storm the 2012 BET Awards stage on July 1. Not only that, but Big Sean and 2 Chainz will perform as solo artists at the event as well. Yeezy is up for seven nominations, including two mentions as part of the Throne (with Jay-Z) in the Video of the Year category (‘N—as in Paris’ and ‘Otis’).

Besides the BET Awards, West also will headline two exclusive concerts at the Revel Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., on July 6 and 7. Tickets for West’s two-night event are completely sold out.

It’s looks like Kanye West is going to have one eventful summer 2012.
