Chief Keef was a busy man in 2015 with the release of two projects, Bang 3 and Sorry 4 the Weight, but he hasn’t released any new material in 2016. On Wednesday (March 2), the Chicago native made an announcement that he has retired from rap.

It all started on Twitter when a fan questioned Keef’s lack of productivity this year, and he replied by tweeting, "I'm retired you didn't know? Too many sound jus like me or saying s--- like almighty would."

Another follower was so upset over the retirement news that he wrote on Sosa's timeline that he was going to have a “shootout” at his school. Keef quickly responded back with “Nooooooooooooo. Go be something everything but a rapper or a scammer be a ball player or a lawyer or a doctor.”

We think Keef’s announcement of his retirement may have been greatly exaggerated. The 20-year-old rhymer is probably not hanging up the mic anytime soon.

We have some proof. Recently, Keef shared on his Instagram page several 15-second clips of him spitting violent bars over a couple of songs.

Chief Keef retired? We think not. Watch the videos below.
