Twitter Reacts to Kendrick Lamar’s Surprise Project ‘untitled unmastered.’

The wait is over. After the Internet streets began buzzing with talk that Kendrick Lamar would release a new project Thursday night (March 3), the final product is here. Untitled unmastered. serves as the rapper's third major label studio effort following his 2015 critically acclaimed album, To Pimp a Butterfly.

Comprised of eight tracks recorded between 2013 and 2016, each appears without a dedicated song name and likely unmastered according to the effort's title. Untitled unmastered features studio versions of the untitled songs Kendrick performed on The Colbert Report, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and the most recent performance at 2016 Grammy Awards.

"Pimp, pimp, hooray/Hooray/Pimp, pimp, hooray/Pimp, pimp/I'm sick and tired of bein' tired/Can't pick a side the gemini/Prophesize if we live or not," he raps over tinkling keys and a sax on "untitled 02 06.23.2014." "Stuck inside the belly of the beast/Can you please pray for me."

Before the opus dropped, Top Dog Entertainment CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith acted as if it was just a normal day on the West Coast. "just woke up...whats all this commotion about? #TDE," he wrote on Twitter. However, shortly after, he hit Instagram with a video of himself rocking out to K.Dot's new joints. "Yea muthafuckas KING KENDRICK returns 2nite.. Thank @kingjames for this.... #TDE," Tiffith wrote.

Last month, LeBron James urged Tiffith to drop the "chamber" of unreleased music the Compton, Calif. native revealed he had. "Yo @dangerookipawaa after that @kendricklamar Grammy performance , you have to release those untitled tracks asap!!! What's up? Talk to me."

Looks like the world has the Cleveland Cavaliers player to thank for this new Kendrick Lamar opus.

Social media is going crazy for the new project, which is only available on iTunes and Spotify, and rightfully so. After killing the Grammys stage with a performance of "Alright" and "The Blacker the Berry," hip-hop was salivating for some fresh K. Dot sounds.
