Student at the University at Hartford faces hate crime charges
In recent news, University at Hartford student, Brianna Brochu, has been expelled from the school for harassing her black roommate, Chennel Rowe. Rowe states that there has been tension between her and her roommate and has felt unwanted in their dorm room. Rowe eventually found another roommate and moved out, however, her troubles were not over. Rowe discovered that her roommate had been maliciously tapering with her belonging through viewing Brochu’s social media. Rowe was informed about an Instagram post, made by Brochu, through a friend that read;
“Finally did it,” Rowe read from the post. “After one and half months of spitting in her coconut oil, putting moldy clam dip in her lotions, rubbing used tampons on her backpack, putting her toothbrush places where the son doesn’t shine, I can finally say goodbye to Jamaican Barbie.”
After finding out about this shocking information, Rowe reported Brochu to the University and took to Facebook Live to tell others about this story.
