A man survived a car crash yesterday on I-787, he flipped his car into a tractor-trailer. He was pinned underneath of the tractor-trailer, firefighters had to cut away the flatbed, the car was stuck under.

The driver walked away from the accident with minor cuts to his finger. Truly an amazing story right? Well according to Times Union, today he was charged with reckless driving, a misdemeanor, and ticketed for an unsafe lane change, speeding, driving across hazardous markings and to top it off driving with unsafe tires.

The driver Reyes-Craig's red 2006 Nissan 350Z, which is no match for a tractor-trailer. What if the man had died? Who would pay these tickets and fines? I think this man learned his lesson and will be out of a car and have to pay a higher insurance premium.

Paying a bunch of fines and having to go to court continuously isn’t doing anything to make the roads safer.
