Zendaya to Play Aaliyah in Lifetime Biopic: HOT After Dark with Linda Love
It's been 13 years since the music industry lost the beautiful and talented Aaliyah. Disney's Zendaya Coleman has been cast to play the singer in the Lifetime biopic of her life.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 17-year-old star of The Disney Channel's "Shake it Up" Zendaya Coleman will play Aaliyah in Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, based off of Christopher Farley's best-selling biography Aaliyah: More Than a Woman.
Zendaya is a actress, singer and dancer. She has starred on The Disney Channel show, released her solo album in 2013 which sold a million copies of her first single and she won a season of Dancing With the Stars.
Aaliyah was only 22 years old when she died tragically. Zendaya is a few years younger at 17 years old. Zendaya's heart is pure and I think she will do Aaliyah justice.
