Yo Gotti is currently mourning the loss of his manager Mel Carter who died on Friday (Nov. 25). The Memphis native went on his Instagram account to pay tribute to the industry veteran who has assisted in the careers of many of your favorite rappers.

Gotti posted a photo of Carter and him looking very dapper. In the caption, he writes, "You Helped Me! You Dedicated Ur Life To My Vision, To My DREAM , You Finally Got Me To Leave To Country & Go To UK, Dubai To See Da World, We Made Millions In Such A Short Time!"

Carter, who served as general manager of Gotti’s CMG label, was very influential early in Kanye West’s career and is well-respected in the rap game by T.I., 2 Chainz and many others.

Several rappers and producers went on their social media accounts to pay their respects to Mel Carter.

"It Really hurt waking up and hearing this sad news man we going miss you brother," wrote French Montana. Meanwwhile T.I. remembered Carter for being a stand up guy. "RIP OG Mel!!! You were always well known & well respected in this thing of ours. You'll truly be missed. Love & Respect," he wrote.

We want to send our heartfelt condolences to Yo Gotti, as well as to the family of Mel Carter. May he rest in peace.
