Upscale Steak House Coming Soon to Colonie Will Be First in Capital Region
There are plenty of steakhouses to choose from in the Capital Region. But there are only a few upscale restaurants that are known for steaks. A restaurant synonymous with high-quality cuts of USDA prime beef will be coming soon to Colonie.
What High-Quality Steakhouse is Coming to Colonie?
Ruth's Chris Steak House was started in 1965 by Ruth Fertel who bought a restaurant called Chris Steak House. She was forced to change the name after a fire at the original restaurant so it became Ruth's Chris Steak House. The steakhouse is known for the best cuts of prime beef with a pat of butter on top. There are one hundred fifty locations around the world but the closest one to the Capital Region is in Tarrytown (Westchester County) and in Newington, Connecticut.

Where Will Ruth's Chris Steak House Be Located?
According to the Albany Business Review, Ruth's Chris Steak House will be coming to Wolf Road in Colonie. It will seamlessly go into the old Romano's Macaroni Grill at 1 Metro Park Road.
There was a change of tenant form filed with the town and it looks as if there won't be many renovations that need to be done to the building. The town's zoning code states that the restaurant as it is aligns with the standards and code of the Wolf Road commercial district.
There will be renovations done on the facade of the building along with updating the landscaping.
What Other Upscale Steakhouses Are in The Capital Region?
Other steakhouses include Morton's at Saratoga Casino Hotel, 677 Prime in Albany, Black & Blue Steak and Crab in Guilderland, The Barnsider down the road in Colonie, and the Bear's Steakhouse in Duanesburg.
There is no set date as to when the new Ruth's Chris Steak House will open on Wolf Road in Colonie.
