Troy Fire Fundraiser

The fire in the Burgh last week is still under investigation.  The community is holding a fundraiser for the Lavendar family who resided next door to the house where the fire originated. However, since their house was severely damaged as well, they lost everything in the blaze.

Last week's terrible fire in Troy on Thursday at 269 5th Ave, claimed the life of a pregnant woman. Vanessa Milligan & her unborn child, perished in the blaze. The neighbor's house next door was destroyed as well. The occupants of the home, Jen Lavendar & her 4 month old newborn baby Hallie, were lucky to survive.  However, they lost all their possessions in the fire, as well as their home.

Their community is holding a fundraiser for them at St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh on Sunday April 13th from 1pm-6pm. Donations can also be made through CapCom bank or Mariposa Studios in Loudonville where Jen works.
