New York State is investing in many area parks and recreation departments in Upstate New York. One area in the Capital Region received seven million dollars to overhaul a part of its park to build an aquatic center.

Back in July, the City of Albany asked residents to choose two designs for the new Lincoln Park Pool. The results are in and this ten-plus million dollar project will be built.

More apartments are going up. But these won't be your average apartments. Many amenities are planned and they will fit in nicely in Saratoga Springs on seventeen acres.

In the past few years, there have been some major upgrades to Veterans' Park in Amsterdam. It was just announced that another one hundred thousand dollars in state funding will help to build a brand new pool house. Mayor of Charles V. Patricelli, along with City Council Members announced today that the Watervliet community swimming pool will be opening on Monday, June 28 at 12 p.m. for the 2021 summer season.

Originally, after many renovations, the Troy pool was supposed to open on July 1st for the summer. But now there is a delay.
