Suspect Arrested In Curry Road Motel 6 Murder
Last week we heard of a bizarre incident at Motel 6 on Curry Road. On Tuesday, Colonie Police received a call for a motor vehicle accident involving a car crashing into the building. The accident ended up being a homicide, and now the police have one suspect in custody.
Around 1:45 in the morning on Tuesday, May 11, Colonie Police Department received a call for a motor vehicle accident. The caller reported that a car had crashed into Motel 6 on Curry Road.
According to News 10 the driver, 20-year old Xiaa Price of Schenectady, was found inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy was performed and it revealed that Price was killed by a single gunshot wound.
The Colonie Police Department Investigations Division performed an extensive investigation with the assistance of the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, the Schenectady Police Department, and the Capital Region Crime Analysis Center.
The Colonie Police Department was able to apprehend one suspect involved in the incident. On Friday they arrested 23-year old Schenectady resident, Paul A.L. Streeks.
Streeks was arrested and charged with second-degree Murder (Felony) and alleged second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Felony). He appeared in the Town of Colonie Justice Court on Saturday morning for arraignment. He was then transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility. He is scheduled for a hearing at an undisclosed date.
