One family's new year has started off with a tragic beginning.  The New York State Police are currently investigating what happened that led to a murder-suicide in Schodack.
According to the Troy Record, three people are confirmed dead as a result of the murder-suicide that occurred Wednesday at 9:30 pm. The residence where this violent crime took place is located on Angelo Drive in Schodack.  There aren’t a lot of details on what was the cause of the murder, but state police say they aren’t looking for any additional suspects, the alleged gunman was reported deceased with a self-inflicted wound.
While three people were confirmed dead at the scene one person did survive. One victim is being treated at Albany Medical Center for a nonlife-threatening gunshot wound to the arm.   I’m sure witnessing a murder-suicide will have this person traumatized for life.
