Today is the day, time for another Regional Food Bank Drive-Thru Pantry. This will happen today May 7th from 11a til supplies last at the Albany International Airport. The Regional Food Bank drive-thru pantry is just what it says it is, a drive-thru contactless way for people in need to get food. The distribution of food will happen today between 3p and 5p at the Airport E Lot parking area.

The drive-thru is available to anyone in the Capital Region that needs food during this COVID-19 pandemic. This process offers a safe alternative for volunteers and the people coming for food. Of course, safety precautions are being taken to keep both volunteers and consumers safe, while making sure people have food to eat. The food will be placed in the driver's trunk so this keeps the entire process contactless.

Drivers will enter through the main terminal and there will be signs directing them to the Regional Food Bank pantry located at Terminal E. The food being given away includes fresh produce, can good and dairy products.

The volunteers will practice social distancing and everyone is wearing gloves. If you know someone that is in need please pass on the message that today from 11a until supplies last at the Albany International Airport the food pantry will be open.

There are several events like this scheduled throughout the Capital Region. Stay posted to hot991.com for more. It is good that people can come together and offer services to people in need. Salute to all the volunteers and if you need food make your way to the Albany International Airport for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York’s contactless Food Bank.
