A 59-year-old man who was drunk driving and killed a couple is out on bail for 300k after pleading guilty to manslaughter.

According to WNYT.

The truck was driven by 59-year-old Dickie Winn of Cohoes.
...

He pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to aggravated vehicular homicide, reading to the court exactly what he did that day.

...

Judge Jim Murphy is expected to sentence Winn to 6 and 1/3 to 19 years in prison as part of a negotiated plea agreement.

What do you think the punishment should be? Do you think that it is fair that he is home on bail waiting to be sentenced for ultimately being irresponsible and killing someone? The family of the victims probably isn’t happy with the decision, and if his sentence leans more towards the 6 1/3 years instead of the 19 years, I'm appalled.

This doesn’t seem fair. People are dead and they are just treating this man like he committed a petty crime. Do you think the 6 1/3 to 19 years are fair or should he get more time. I think if you kill someone you should spend the rest of your life in prison.
