Nelly closed out the 2013 CMT Music Awards Wednesday night (June 5) on a high note. The St. Louis rhymer joined country duo Florida Georgia Line to perform their summer anthem, 'Cruise.'

The pair kicked off their performance with fireworks as the backing band played the foot-stomping song. After FGL's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard danced around a bit, Nelly came out wearing blue jeans, Timberland boots and an olive tank top with "Cruise" written on the front.

The rap-country trifecta had the crowd on their feet, singing every word of their energetic track.

The only odd thing we noticed with their performance was the break dancers onstage and the graffiti artist tagging up the word "Cruise" on a wall. Granted, Nelly is a hip-hop artist but it was very cliche to have that onstage and, we have to say, totally unnecessary.

Otherwise, Nelly and Florida Georgia Line rocked the house. Afterward, the trio hugged it out before waving to the crowd and exiting the stage.
