Last year the New York State Fair was canceled due to COVID-19, but the summer of 2021 is looking like it will be closer to normal. The New York State Fair is scheduled for this summer, and rap artist Nas is slated to perform at a free concert at the fair.

The New York State Fair is scheduled for August and I’m sure most New Yorkers are very happy. To make attendees even happier, according to Syracuse.com the state fair has booked Grammy-winning Hip-hop artist Nas to perform. That’s certainly good news that Nas will be performing at the fair, but what is even better news is that the concert will be totally free with admission to the fair.

Although COVID-19 caused the cancellation of the fair for 2020, fair organizers are excited about the return for the 2021 season. This year the fair will be called “Reimagined New York State Fair ''.

Hopefully, if the COVID numbers continue to remain low, the event will take place August 20 through September 6 at the New York Experience Festival Grounds.

The fair will be full of concerts and fun. Nas will be performing on the Chevy Park Stage on the first night, August 20 at 8 p.m.

If you intend to see Nas at the fair, remember that although the concert is free, admission to the fair is $3 and you will need a ticket to enter the concert. Just like everything else, the fair will have limited attendance at the concert due to COVID-19 restrictions.
