Local Group Addresses Mental Health With “The Reclaim Circle”
Nationally there has been a lot of attention to mental health. For years people have been plagued with mental health issues and cast aside in society. Most of the times just being labeled as crazy. There are local initiatives as well that are addressing mental health issues, especially amongst black people.
Root3d and Beyond Living LLC welcome you to "The Reclaim Circle": an ongoing conversation about how trauma impacts black people, and ways to draw on the resilience and strength of our ancestors and ourselves to collectively heal.
Rachelle Pean, LCSW, and Gordon Collier, LMSW will facilitate this conversation and share healing exercises to amplify our inner strength and plant the seeds of change and healing.
Rachelle Pean is the founder of Root3d: a Wellness community space that makes healing practices accessible for all. She is a clinical social worker who believes that in order to heal from past trauma we have to involve our WHOLE selves: mind, body, and spirit.
