Winning Take 5 Ticket Sold at Stewart’s in West Coxsackie
Stewie's Has Another Take 5 Winner
Someone in the Capital Region can start thinking about making some tasty summer travels with a little extra cash, thanks to the New York State Lottery.
A winning Take 5 ticket was sold at a Stewart’s Shops location in West Coxsackie (Greene County), and while it didn’t hit a solo jackpot, it still paid off nicely.
The top prize for the drawing can be up to 30K, but this jackpot was split among three statewide winners — meaning each winner takes home a share of that total, which is a little over $10,000.
Not a Bad Little Payday
Still, who wouldn’t take an extra $10K heading into summer?
Take 5 is one of the Lottery’s most popular daily games. Players choose five numbers from a pool of 1 to 39, with drawings held twice a day — midday and evening. Match all five numbers, and you win the top prize. Even matching two, three, or four numbers can earn smaller payouts.
Just a Buck to Play
Tickets cost just $1, and players can also choose a Quick Pick for randomly generated numbers. There’s even an “Instant Win” option for an additional dollar, offering a chance at prizes right away.

The overall odds of winning any prize in Take 5 are about 1 in 8.77, making it one of the more "winnable" games for casual players.
So if you grabbed a ticket recently — especially in Greene County — it might be worth a second look.
