High-Risk Missing Child in Amsterdam
Police in Amsterdam are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 12-year-old boy, and authorities say there is serious concern for his safety and well-being.
According to the Amsterdam Police Department, Jayden Oakes, 12, was last seen around 10:30 PM on Sunday evening, September 6th.

Description of 12-Year-Old Jayden Oakes
- Jayden is described as approximately 4'11" tall and 90 pounds.
- He was last seen wearing black graphic sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
- Police say Jayden may have his hair pulled up in a bun on top of his head.
Authorities have classified Jayden as a high-risk missing child, but they didn't explain why. Police are urging people throughout Amsterdam and the surrounding Capital Region to keep an eye out and share his information.
