Mystery Woman Unmasked After Bizarre Saratoga County Robbery
The Mysterious Masked Woman from Saratoga County
Back in May, police in Saratoga County were looking for a mysterious masked woman accused of robbing a Speedway in Halfmoon.
And I'll admit it, I was a little obsessed with the surveillance photo.
The image looked less like something from a gas station security camera and more like a still from an action movie. We joked that if someone told you the woman behind the mask was Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Scarlett Johansson, or Gal Gadot filming their next action flick in Halfmoon, you might have believed them.
What Do Police Allege She Did?
But this wasn't Hollywood. Police say the woman behind the mask allegedly displayed what appeared to be a pistol, demanded money from the register, and made off with about $400.
At the time, we had the surveillance photo but no idea who was underneath that mask. Nearly four months later, police say the mystery has been solved, and we finally get to see her face.
Four Months Later: Mystery Solved
Following what the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office calls an extensive investigation, deputies arrested 44-year-old Trisha Lee Cayea-Lord of Halfmoon in connection with the May 7th robbery.

And while finally putting a face to the masked woman is interesting enough, police also revealed a pretty stunning detail about the alleged crime that we didn't know back in May.
According to investigators, after allegedly robbing the Speedway around 2:14 in the morning, Cayea-Lord fled the store and got into a waiting vehicle. Police say her 5-year-old child was inside that vehicle at the time.
So much for the glamorous Hollywood action-movie version of this story.
Cayea-Lord has been charged with second-degree robbery, tampering with physical evidence, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail, according to the report.
