Saratoga County Locals To Be Featured On Popular HGTV Show

A local realtor has given us an exclusive sneak peek at HGTV's visit to Saratoga County.

Over the last few years, some great Capital Region residents, towns, and homes have taken star turns on HGTV specials. Back in 2021 a historic Greenwich home was featured on 'Cheap Old Houses,' in 2020 a Scotia couple was featured on 'House Hunters,' and earlier this year 'Who's Afraid Of A Cheap Old House?' was filming in Menands,  just to name a few. Airing this weekend, its another episode of 'House Hunters' filmed in the Captial Region!

If you have never seen 'House Hunters,' HGTV 's premise of the show  "..takes viewers behind the scenes..." and focuses on the "emotional experience"  as buyers search for and purchase a home

House Hunters To Feature Ballston Spa Area Home Search

This weekend's episode will come to Ballston Spa and Ballston Lake, according to local real estate broker Victoria Romeo for an episode titled "Cozy Home In Upstate New York." Romeo, who also owns Romeo Team Realty in Clifton Park, will be appearing on House Hunters for the third time and is already in talks for a fourth starring turn on the show. She tells us she nominated the home buyers featured in the episode which HGTV says centers around "A recent divorcee (who) looks to buy a home for her son, her boyfriend, and his kids when they come to visit in upstate New York."

"Amanda is a long-time client of mine and a hard-working single mom. Her light and joy are infectious and I felt that her story was one that so many could relate to. I was just so proud of what she was doing for her son, herself, and her budding relationship with Tanner. It seemed only fitting to shine a spotlight on her and let's face it, filming with the two of them was a BLAST!" said Romeo.

Amanda's search in "House Hunters" is focused on finding a home with "old world charm" that Romeo adds is as close to downtown Ballston Spa as possible within "...walking distance to her second job at The Speckled Pig."

HGTV will air the House Hunters episode featuring Romeo and Amanda's  Ballston Spa home search this Saturday, January 20th at 10 pm and again on Sunday, January 21st at 1 am.
