There was an excitement buzzing through the Berkshires and it's not just the music being performed at Tanglewood or the "oohhs and aahhs" of the Norman Rockwell Museum. This time the chatter is about glitz and glamor of Hollywood coming to Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

According to the Berkshire Eagle, Hollywood royalty recently spent time at a local pub, filming scenes for a yet to be released feature film named 'Blood Knot', starring Michael Douglas.

The Pub at the Rusty Anchor is a picturesque spot overlooking Pontoosuc Lake in Pittsfield. According to posts on the pub's Facebook page, the business was closed for a couple of days in June for a private event. Comments on the post indicate that the place was closed do to filming. Was Michael Douglas there?

The Berkshire Eagle confirmed that Michael Douglas, star of box office hits such as Wall Street, Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction, was indeed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Production crews transformed the eatery into the Painted Turtle for the movie and some of the staff were included as extras.

The Michael Douglas film 'Blood Knot' also stars David Morse, Walker Scobell, Michael Stahl-David and Douglas' son Cameron. No word on when this film is expected to be released.

Michael Douglas isn't the only celebrity to film in that area. Approximately 1 year ago, Bradley Cooper made his way to the Berkshires to film scenes for a Netflix biopic called 'Maestro', about composer Leonard Bernstein. Filming took place over one week at the Tanglewood Music Center.
