So, I'm sure you guys are wondering why am I posting about 107.7 GNA, because we all know Country music is far from Hip-Hop and R&B, but aside from me being an on-air personality for Hot 99.1 on Sundays, I also work in the Promotions Department at Townsquare. I work events and remotes for 4 other stations, so your girl Keisha Renee is all over the place, but no worries- I'm comfortable everywhere I go.

Anyhow, this was my first Taste of Country Fest EVER! I had no idea what to think and expect, but to hear country music and see a bunch of cowboy jeans and Daisy Dukes. How could I forgot to mention that the festival was on top of a mountain?! Another first for me. Needless to say, it was everything that I thought it would be, but more. The festival itself was put on well- great food and vendors to shop at, and there were a ton of free giveaways.

The crowd came out in full gear and ready to turn up at the festival. From the cowboy/cowgirl boots all the way to the matching hats to top off their country looks. The people I met at the festival were all so cool and chill and they kept asking me "so, what is a girl like you doing up here at the country fest?" but I always play my part very cool and I would just say "I'm versatile baby, I'm everywhere enjoying life comfortably". They would laugh and most of them gave me hugs and told me I was too cool, but little did they know they were really the cool ones.

In addition to holding down the GNA tent, I was also able to be upstairs in the live broadcast room where the big names came through for radio interviews. I'm going to keep it 100- I had to Google a couple names just so I had some what of idea who the artists were, and I also wanted to know if I had heard their songs, and of course there were a few that I enjoy listening too.

I finally have a face to go along with the catchy songs that I find myself singing every now and then. I was able to be upstairs during the time Eric Paslay, Frankie Ballard, and Gary Allan stopped by. They're kinda like the J-Cole and Rick Ross in the country world. Now Kenny Chesney and Jake Owen- those guys are like your Jay Z and Kayne West. Overall, I had a great time and I enjoyed stepping outside the box for the weekend. Where will I end up next? I don't even know, but I'm always good wherever I'm at.
