A Glen Falls man is accused of robbing an acquaintance early in the morning on Friday, and now he is in police custody.

According to News 10 and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year old Anthony L. Dean
of Glen Falls allegedly robbed one of his acquaintances.

An unidentified victim reported that they were in Queensbury near the Speedway on Aviation Road when two men forcefully took a large amount of money from him. The incident occurred around 2:30 in the morning.

The suspects left the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived there, but because the victim knew one of the men, he was able to direct the law enforcement officers to the suspect’s home.

When officers arrived at the suspect’s home in Glen Falls they were able to apprehend him. Officers arrested the suspect and charged him with third-degree Robbery.

Law enforcement officials have not released any more information about this incident. The other alleged suspect has not been identified or arrested. Officials have not indicated whether the suspect is still in custody or if he has been released.

At 22 years old, the suspect has allegedly committed a crime that could alter the rest of his life. He is looking at a lot of jail time is if he is convicted of robbery.

It is extremely unusual for someone to commit a robbery like this when they could so easily be identified. It does not seem like the suspect really thought his way through this crime. We will have to keep an eye on this incident to see the outcome. With friends like this who needs enemies?
