Exit 3 Southbound Opens Ahead Of Schedule

For decades the Northway hasn’t had an Exit 3. The new southbound off-ramp is officially open Governor Cuomo made the announcement Sunday.

“The access to the airport was never completed and never perfected,” said Cuomo. The Governor says that’s what they are doing now, upgrading the airport and improving service to and from.
Hopefully this will help with traffic as well, as I’ve always noticed the exit for the Albany Airport was always backed up being as though it was combined with people trying to get to work on Wolf Rd.

Now that there is a dedicated exit for the Airport, the Northway traffic southbound should run pretty smooth. Now if they can just get the Airport construction done early too, that’s not set to be done until March of 2020.
