Colin Kaepernick partners up with Nike to release a pair of Air Force 1 sneakers. The sneakers was drop Monday, reported from Forbes, the collection sold out on Nike's website and the company's SNKRS app, the first day it went on sale in North America. The Air Force 1 x Colin Kaepernick is made of luxe black leather with Kaepernick's head on the heel tab and featured on the tongue. Whats really special about the sneakers is the date marked "08 -14 -16" on the sole of the right shoe. Which is the date of the first time Kaepernick didn't stand, he sat during the national anthem, at the preseason game between the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers. September 1, 2016 was when he first knelt during the national anthem, later became a movement around the world. The 32-year-old activist, and former NFL player have not played in the league since 2016, reported by CNN.
