If this is the year that Chance The Rapper becomes a household name, it will be due at least in some part to his ability to think beyond industry conventions. His Coloring Book album became the first to chart on the Billboard 200's top ten off streaming alone. Last week, he purchased nearly 2,000 tickets to his Magnificent Coloring Day event in order to sell them to fans at a more reasonable price. And now, he's taking his application of thought even further by teaming up with the NAACP to bring voter registration to his Magnificent Coloring World Tour.

As the NAACP explains, "Teams of volunteers with the civil rights organization’s Youth & College Division will be on hand at the ground-breaking artist’s performances across the country as part of the Magnificent Coloring World Tour. Volunteer NAACP youth members will be available to help first-time voters register and vote in the Nov. 8th election."

“Voting and becoming knowledgeable about this year’s upcoming presidential election is imperative. With a great deal of help from the NAACP, I have been able to provide this awesome opportunity for people to sign up and make the pledge to vote at a few of my upcoming shows,” Chance said. “This is super important to me because I want my fans to know that their voices matter and that their vote counts now more than ever.”

The Magnificent Coloring World Tour kicks off today (Sept. 15) in San Diego, and continues through the third week of October.
