Stolen Vehicle Report Leads To Drug Arrest in Albany

A call to 911 reporting a suspicious vehicle led officers with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office to a U-Haul truck with three suspects inside who allegedly had drugs in their possession.

Officers with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office advised News10 that they received a call on Sunday afternoon about three suspects allegedly passed out inside of a U-Haul truck.

According to News 10, Officers investigated the situation and discovered that the U-Haul truck had been reported stolen to the Albany Police Department. When the responding deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered three suspects inside the vehicle passed out. As deputies were searching the vehicle, they allegedly recovered and confiscated narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

The deputies arrested all three suspects and took them into custody. The arrests are as follows:

Ebony Boyd, 34-year old, was arrested and charged with seventh-degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor), Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument (Misdemeanor), third-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and third-degree Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Felony).

Starkiesha Rabinovich, 44-years old, was arrested and charged with three counts of seventh-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, (Misdemeanor), Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument (Misdemeanor), one count of third-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (Felony), one count of third-degree Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Felony).

Robert Shutter, 37-years old, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, three counts of seventh-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor), Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument (Misdemeanor), one count of third-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property (Felony) and one count of third-degree Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Felony).

All three suspects were arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and released on their own recognizance.
