There are big things coming for the city of Troy. The city is one of 16 in the state where the Governor has designated to address poverty issues in the state of New York.

According to Times Union, The city chose the Commission on Economic Opportunity as its non-profit partner to develop an antipoverty plan for the municipality, Mayor Patrick Madden said Tuesday.

The designation of CEO is part of the city's effort under the state's Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative, announced in January by Gov.Andrew Cuomo

What would you suggest to address the poverty issues in Troy? What job opportunities should be brought to Troy? What economic opportunities are already there that aren't being taken advantage of? And what does Troy need? These are great guidelines to address poverty in any community.
